Cubs finalize 1-year contract with veteran reliever Workman
MESA, Ariz. (AP) – The Cubs settled a $1 million, 1 year contract with reliever Brandon Workman on Thursday.
The 32-year-old right-hander can make an extra $2 million in perks.
Workman had a hard time in 2015, going 1-4 with a 5.95 PERIOD and 9 conserves in 21 looks for Boston and Philadelphia. He was traded from the Red Sox to the Phillies in August.
However Workman was fantastic in 2019 with Boston, going 10-1 with a 1.88 PERIOD in 73 looks. He is 25-20 with a 3.89 PERIOD in 209 profession video games.
