(Reuters) – Online broker Robinhood stated on Wednesday it plans to offer customers the capability to deposit and withdraw cryptocurrencies, consisting of the meme-based dogecoin.
The trading app popular with young financiers presently enables customers to purchase, offer and hold cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin on its platform, however users cannot withdraw their properties to transfer to other wallets.
In January, Robinhood had momentarily handicapped a function on its app that permitted users to purchase crypto securities quickly due to unpredictable market conditions stimulated by a trading craze in shares of GameStop Corp . The brokerage dealt with criticism from users who might stagnate their properties to other wallets.
As part of a series of tweets https://twitter.com/RobinhoodApp/status/1362143073510121472, Robinhood stated on Wednesday it does not presently buy cryptocurrency or utilize any client cryptocurrency for its own advantage.
